Quoted from Buying Golf Equipment - the step-by-step guide.

“I decided to write this book series due to a current imbalance with regard to the various ways golf clubs are manufactured, marketed and retailed across the world. With that in mind, the book was written for golfers of all abilities.”

Buying Golf Clubs? You really should read this book first

London, England. May, 2006. Arden & Fogarty LLC - a US registered sports book publishing company - announce a pre-release order and prize competition website for the upcoming two-book series Buying Golf Equipment, written by debut author and golf professional Mark D. Wilson.

Buying Golf Equipment - the step-by-step guide is a paperback covering topics about the golf equipment industry in reality (as told from the inside), the various methods of buying clubs (pre-owned equipment, availability and delivery times, demo. days, custom fitting), different playing abilities and styles of clubs on offer (with separate sections for beginners, intermediate, advanced, ladies, lefties, seniors, juniors and teenagers), choosing the retailer you buy from carefully (shopping around on price…..with all-important info. on counterfeit and knock-off clubs) and owning and caring for your golf equipment (deposits, warranties, eventual repairs). All of this is bound together with the crowning statements of the book, the step-by-step guide buying format and the Summary chapter (describing the industry’s current and future trends).

Buying Golf Equipment - the annual guide is an illustrated color guide that was always planned as a basic, brand-independent magazine that golfers could take with them to demo. days and various retailers during their calculating pre-purchase investigations. A uniqueness with the annual guide is that all of the equipment featured can be bought in the specifications that each individual golfer requires (to a partial or mostly full custom fit option). As with the step-by-step guide, the chapters are set out into separate areas for beginners, intermediate, advanced, ladies, lefties, seniors, juniors and teenagers.

Both books from the series have been made available in North American and German editions and are currently available only at www.ardenfogarty.com. Registered pre-release customers are given five chances in an exciting prize competition, whereby five lucky winners will receive a US $1,000 customized golf equipment package of their choice, personally fitted by the author.

Of the upcoming book series, Mark stated: “This is a bright day for golfers across the world. From beginners who have little or no knowledge of what to expect when buying their first golfing items, right through the list to the most experienced player, I’ve covered all of the information they should be considering first before spending their money on clubs. My aim with the step-by-step guide was also to add true stories from my past experiences and a few quotes from outside the golf industry. This helped to spice up a vital book, one which is essentially about a subject few golf book authors write about…..in an industry that is overly self-governing from a marketing and retailing viewpoint. The information in this book had to become public knowledge some day, so why not today?”
